Does Insurance Cover the Cost of an Unattended Death Cleanup?

We often get asked from customers or family members that say I had a family member that died and it looks like has been there for weeks. Does insurance cover the cost of that cleanup?
The answer to that is typically yes, however, that depends on the insurance company and the policy itself. The only way to determine coverage is to file a claim and speak with an actual insurance adjuster for that company and they will make the determination of coverage. Not an insurance agent, and not unfortunately us as a company, we are not licensed adjusters.
